The seventh edition of Media Festival Skopje occured from November 21 to 23.
The theme of this festival edition was corruption and the role of the media in the eternal fight against it. Journalists from Macedonia and the wider region discussed the (in)ability of the media to address this endless phenomenon.
Media Festival Skopje, organized by PINA, traditionally offered workshops for active and promising journalists, and through discussions and public presentation of the work of colleagues from the Program for young journalists and the Program for women journalists.
Numerous speakers were part of this edition, including the journalists and experts in their fields like Robb Montgomery, Lindita Cela, Aleksandra Tomic, Milica Vojinovic, Vlatko Stojanovski, Branimir Bradaric, Zeljko Drazenovic, Gordana Ilic – Ostojic, Daniel Vasilev, Kristijan Trajchov, Simona Paskoska, Ivana Krsteska, Viktor Vukanovski, Marta Stevkovska, Maja Terziova, and Kristina Ozimec.
In addition to the discussions, various workshops and presentations were conducted, covering a wide range of topics.
The 2023 edition of the festival presented 7 films that examined corruption, the role of the media in exposing it, and the broader impact on society.
