Nina Springer is a professor of media and communication studies with a focus on journalism at the University of Münster, Germany. Nina has been researching the use of comment features on online news sites for over a decade. What started with the hope for diversity of opinion in public discourses has become more and more problem-focused work in recent years. Currently, Nina’s research focuses on why and how (women) journalists are confronted with aggression from the audience and how they deal with it.
