Kalia Dimitrova (1991) is a writer, activist and feminist based in Skopje. She has a degree in political sciences from the Faculty of Law Iustinianus Primus at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. Her master’s studies in the field of cultural studies brought her to the Netherlands, Poland, and the United States, where she studied and lived until 2017, before returning in Skopje. She is a part of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights – Skopje team, focusing on gender and LGBTI rights. She is the founder and editor-in-chief of the feminist platform Meduza (www.meduza.mk) and the editor-in-chief of Meduza’s print issues. When she makes the time, she writes essays and poetry.
