Željko Draženović (1966) has been engaged in journalism for more than 30 years. He entered the world of journalism in 1992 as a correspondent for Glas Slavonia from Vinkovci, spent several years as an editor of the News Program of Vinkovci Television, and most of his professional career as a correspondent for the Croatian News Agency (Hina). He also wrote for Vjesnik, Gospodarski list, Agroportal, Catholic Information Agency (IKA), collaborated with the Health Fair in Vinkovci, organizing the Journalism Symposium.
In several mandates, he was the president of the Croatian Journalists’ Association (HND) of the Vukovar-Srijem County. He is a member of the Executive Board of HND and co-founder and president of the Center for Media Culture and, together with Branimir Bradarić, the initiator of the Media In Time (MIT) journalism festival. By profession, he is a graduate journalist, and he also holds a diploma in economics of tourism economics. He is also engaged in writing and is the author of the book “Vinkovci, a city we remember”, and soon his first novel “Zadnja stanica Vinkovci” should see the light of day.
