Is artificial intelligence an ally or a threat to journalism? At the festival opening we discuss how journalists experience AI’s role in newsrooms today and what future it brings to the profession. The focus is on ethical and professional challenges, trust in the media, fake news, and the phenomenon of deepfake content.

Through a range of perspectives and arguments, the discussion will try to answer how media professionals view the future of journalism. Will the technology strengthen quality reporting, or will it open new risks to credibility and the public interest? We raise the questions about exactly where journalism stands today — at a crossroad.
