We devote our opening discussion to local voices and journalism on local level that today faces numerous problems that challenge its existence. We will talk with speakers coming from local environments that are still working in their local environments, despite all of the challenges for local journalists today. How much power does local journalism have? What are the biggest issues for local media? How can the situation improve for local journalists to continue their important work? These are just some of the questions we will discuss at the opening of our eighth Media Festival Skopje.
