Going digital? No need to press “I agree” to continue. The Investigative Film Festival Skopje is not gathering your personal data, it gathers films, discussions and workshops on the changing world of media in the digital age.
It’s getting increasingly difficult to keep up with the rapidly advancing technology – newsrooms have to balance between quality journalism and the pressure to use click baits, while users have to double check if the latest social media trend is harmless fun or a breach of their rights.
The Investigative Film Festival Skopje is “going digital” to explore the current world of innovative possibilities and possible privacy violations. Join us at the third edition of IFFS where we’ll explore how can journalism survive and thrive next to the social media giants, what could traditional media offer to an audience equipped with its own digital newsroom in their smartphones and what tools and platforms could newsrooms use for more immersive storytelling.
The festival program is divided into several segments, with films dedicated to investigative journalism and other media trends, as well as numerous debates, workshops and speakers from Macedonia and abroad that will focus on various current topics in the field of journalism and media.
We hope IFFS will contribute to strengthening the relationship between film and journalism. Our mission is to build IFFS as a platform where journalists, movie and media professionals from the region and around the world can connect and develop future stories and films as well as educate and inform the public about the importance of the free press and the obstacles that stand between the truth and the people.
